The two poems I watched were Dulce et Decorum Est by Wilfred Owen, presented by Joshua Kelly; and Facing It by Yusef Kumunyakaa, presented by Branden Wellington. Both were very well done. To start off with both have appropriate dramatization, both presenters did not use any unnecessary gestures. I could also tell that both presenters understood there poems, as they read I could see what was going on in my head. They both did fairly well on all the other things too, those two just stood out to me.

I believe that the first ones meaning is saying that people say it is ok to die for ones country but when you see your friends dying around you, you don't think it is true. Also when you think you might die you don't want to die at all, for your country or not. I think that the second ones deeper meaning is facing the horrors of the Vietnam War after you are out of it and looking at the memorial wall and seeing some of your friends names on it.
